he is a radio and TV presenter, 51, who was part of Friday night’s all-star presenting lineup, alongside Sir Lenny Henry, David Tennant and Paddy McGuinness.

However, she said Alesha Dixon will work “double shifts” to cover her absence.

Comedian Dommett, host of ITV’s The Masked Singer, was forced to withdraw from late-night show The Great Comic Relief Prizeathon along with AJ Odudu after testing positive again.

He will be replaced by TV star Vernon Kay tonight.

The Comic Relief Prizeathon is expected to follow BBC News At Ten and continue the Red Nose Day celebrations into the night, with live music, comedy sketches and an award draw.

The main show will be broadcast for the first time from the BBC studio in Salford with Matt Lucas, David Walliams, Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders among the participating stars.

Jack Whitehall will also take part in a mini golf game with soccer players Declan Rice and Mason Mount.
